ABLATION ON POETRY IS BREAD: A DISTANCE READING SERIES
Ablation was featured on Poetry Is Bread: A Distance Reading Series on Facebook back in November, and I sort of didn't notice it was up until now because I don't really log on there. I put the video on my YouTube page in case you also don't feel like logging onto Facebook, and YOU CAN WATCH THE VIDEO HERE . Warm thanks to series curator Tina Cane , whose work I deeply admire, for including this video in the series. I ended up creating this video poem out of footage from a video poem I'd started working on for the title sequence back in December 2021 and never finished, using agates my mom had collected, as well as other various videos taken in MN weather as I was out walking, waiting for an oil change, "planting" pebbles that my daughter, as a much smaller daughter, believed to be seeds, along a beach, watching a weird thunderstorm in February, etc. Do you want to hear a secret? The audio is actually the same audio from the Poets Weave Indiana NPR recording...
