To mourn the hour we lost today, here's a video of me reading this essay about my time at Big Bend National Park. Customs and Border Protection is planning to construct a steel wall in Big Bend which would be costly, unnecessary, and devastating to the unique ecosystem of the park. You can learn more about it and what you can do to try to stop the construction of a wall RIGHT HERE . It's a deeply special place, and, as the essay makes clear, it means a great deal to me and many other living things.
