3 SEGMENTS OF WHEEL OF FORTUNE IN GHOST HARMONICS ISSUE 01: OSCILLATIONS
I'm honored to have 3 segments of wheel of fortune appearing in the absurdly special inaugural issue of Ghost Harmonics. YOU CAN READ THEM HERE. But like, seriously, look at this. This is just the first issue. My sincere thanks to editors Mike Bagwell + William Hazard, especially Mike who was like "oh is it OK if I do this *incredibly amazing* thing where the text shifts and moves on the page as you scroll?" Like obviously, yes. And then put up with me re-recording my audio. What there's also an audio version? Again, yes. The Kafka quote in the last segment is aphorism 21, translated by Shelley Frisch, edited by Reiner Stach. As Stach includes in notes on this aphorism, Kafka also wrote, in his journal: "How are you going even to touch on the greatest task...if you can't collect yourself so that when the decisive moment comes, you hold in your hand the entirety of yourself like a stone to be flung." Apparently that's why I'm assessing this series of old containers.
