2 POEMS IN 128 LIT + READING FOR VIRTUAL LAUNCH 10/16/22 8 AM - 9:30 AM CT

I'm honored to have 2 poems ("Clockwork" and "Half-Life") in the BEAUTIFUL inaugural issue of 128 Lit. You can order the issue here. I'll be reading for the issue's Virtual Multilingual/International Launch Reading this Sunday, October 16th from 8 AM to 9:30 AM. A recording of the event can be viewed here if you missed it! My thanks to Andrew Felsher, Yehui Zhao, and everyone at 128 Lit. The stunning cover art is by Fi Jae Lee. FUN FACT 1: "Clockwork" was partly inspired by artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres piece "Untitled" (Perfect Lovers) (1991) and partly inspired by volcanoes. FUN FACT 2: both poems in the issue, in earlier drafts, contained references to skeletons. The skeleton was edited out of "Clockwork" but still appears in "Half-Life." One of the skeleton lines edited out of "Clockwork" was: "Mop the water when it falls through the ribcage."
