I'm thrilled to share the news that my video poem "Then Betelgeuse Reappears" is an official selection for the
2021 Midwest Video Poetry Festival. It was 1 of 36 films selected and will show on day 2 of the festival: Saturday, October 9th. The festival will screen in-person at Arts + Literature Laboratory in Madison, WI (
RESERVE TICKETS HERE) and at Woodland Pattern in Milwaukee, WI (
RESERVE TICKETS HERE) and will stream for 2 weeks on
Art + Lit Lab's YouTube channel Monday, October 11th thru Monday, October 25th, 2021. I'll share a direct link to the stream when it's live.
I wrote and narrated the poem "Then Betelgeuse Reappears" and constructed the film from animations I created, original video, and found archival images. My sincere thanks to Ali Jaafar of Ecstattic Studio for mastering the video and audio.
