Excerpts from Ablation in Literary Mama November/December 2020

Two poems from my project Ablation are featured in the November/December 2020 issue of the journal Literary Mama. You may read them here. While many of the poems from the project are about glaciers and my mom's heart, they are also about becoming a mother to a daughter, and these 2 poems are examples of that work. The "you" in Ablation addresses my daughter in the future. I appreciate Literary Mama for providing a supportive space and platform for the work of parents and caregivers.
